How Does a Relationship with Jesus Change Me?
This is an important question to ask as we explore the foundations of our faith. A relationship with Jesus is important, but what does Jesus actually do?
When we begin a relationship with Jesus a miracle happens. We receive forgiveness from our past, he sets us on a new trajectory for the future, and he empowers our present. The Bible promises that when we enter into a relationship with Jesus we receive new life. God’s part is to transform us into the image of Jesus. And our part is to put our faith in Jesus' transforming power.
Jesus forgives our past, empowers our present, and sets us on a new trajectory as his representatives for the future. And the way we begin this relationship is by simply confessing our sin and acknowledging our need for a saviour. Through a relationship with Jesus we are welcomed with open arms into the family of God.
