Prayer is not about saying the 'right things to God; it's about speaking the real things to God. Prayer is not fancy words but simply sharing your heart openly and honestly with God. He won't be surprised to find you are unhappy, angry, afraid, confused, or disappointed. Many of the authors in the book of Psalms wrote prayers that candidly expressed their feelings to God.

Through prayer, we build relationship with God, just like communication builds relationship with a friend. Prayer can simply mean having a conversation with God. It can happen in one moment and in an extended period.
